According to a recent source, the executive writers for both Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars have left. Scooper MyTimeToShineHello claims that Michael Waldron has been fired from the Secret Wars project and that Jeff Loveness has been dropped from writing the script for The Kang Dynasty. MyTimeToShineHello has a history of making accurate predictions about the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Although KC Walsh, a fellow scooper, acknowledged that they had heard similar things, neither Disney nor Marvel Studios have confirmed the accusations, therefore it is advised to take them with a grain of salt.
The Multiverse Saga, the most recent and significant episode in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will be resolved in the future Avengers films, which are still mostly unrevealed. The overarching plot of the movie will follow the titular group of heroes as they battle Kang the Conqueror’s multiverse tyranny and the invasions that arise from his ambitions to rule all of time and space. The group appears to feature an updated cast of members.
Marvel has not yet announced which well-known characters will take part in the conflict against Kang in the fifth Avengers film. Even though Jonathan Majors, who portrays the title antagonist, is the only actor whose participation has been confirmed, Loveness has reassured fans that the cast is full of well-known actors. “Everyone will have the opportunity to shine. I can’t reveal who. I’m not sure when. We have a strong bench, and it’s exciting to finally include everyone in the action,” the author remarked. “We have Letitia Wright, Jonathan Majors, and Florence Pugh. We have such a strong pool of talented performers… Right now, I believe we are more enthusiastic for the performers than even the characters. Loveness has already stated that there would be a lot of character fatalities in the plot of The Kang Dynasty. In response to criticism that Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania didn’t deliver on any significant killings, the author commented, “I think for these bloodthirsty fans, there’s a little movie called Avengers: Kang Dynasty, I think he’ll bring the heat.” The current release dates for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars are May 1, 2026, and May 7, 2027, respectively. It is not yet clear if the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes will cause a further delay in the film’s release.
