Marvel Studios is rumoured to be working on more realistic Disney+ series with everyday heroes, starting with a project called White Tiger that will have a female lead. Marvel is “not developing too many live-action shows at the moment, focusing on animated stuff and live-action movies,” according to X insider Daniel Richtman. Their upcoming live-action programmes will be more realistic.” Marvel Studios is developing a White Tiger series with a female lead, according to a different post made by Richtman on his Patreon (via X). In the forthcoming Daredevil: Born Again, White Tiger will make her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut; however, Hector Ayala will purportedly don the mask rather than one of the female variants. Although White Tiger’s participation in Born Again has not yet been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, set images have revealed an unidentified actor dressed as the superhero.

Marvel Studios’ choice to concentrate on more realistic heroes for its Disney+ projects is probably due to the fact that these characters are far less expensive to produce than superheroes, who demand a great deal of pricey special effects. Information at hand indicates that the recent Marvel miniseries Echo, which starred street-level antihero Maya Lopez over five episodes, had a budget of only $40 million, which is less than 20 percent of the budgets of some of the MCU’s other recent series, such as She-Hulk: Attorney at Law ($212 million) and Secret Invasion ($225 million). As a result, Echo is now Marvel Studios’ least expensive live-action MCU series to date. Invented in 1975 by writer Bill Mantlo and artist George Pérez, White Tiger is a legendary figure who battles evil and crime with the help of a paranormal amulet. Being the first Hispanic superhero in Marvel history, Hector Ayala, a native of Puerto Rico, was a revolutionary version of the character. Hector was later replaced in the position by NYPD officer Kasper Cole in 2002, as well as his niece Angela del Toro in 2004 and his sister Ava Ayala in 2011. The Ultimate Spider-Man animation is the only official adaptation of Ava outside of comic books to date. However, in 2016, Jon Huertas, actor of This Is Us, produced, directed, and starred in a fan short film about the Hector Ayala version.

Plot specifics for Born Again are unknown, however it is said that the Disney+ series will carry on stories from the Marvel Spotlight series Echo and the original Daredevil on Netflix, including Kingpin’s bid for mayor of New York City. A new comic book-accurate outfit for Daredevil has also been hinted at in set images, however it still lacks the recognisable “DD” chest emblem. With Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead serving as primary directors and Dario Scardapane serving as showrunner, Daredevil: Born Again is presently in development. Charlie Cox makes news In addition to Jon Bernthal, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Wilson Bethel, and Karen Page returning from the Netflix/Marvel period as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, Frank Castle/Punisher, Foggy Nelson, Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye, and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, respectively, Daredevil: Born Again stars Matt Murdock as Daredevil.
