The first action-packed Secret Invasion teaser, which depicts Nick Fury’s perilous return to Earth, has just been made public. Samuel L. Jackson’s Fury was first featured in the post-credits of 2008’s Iron Man, and he has since become a mainstay of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fury has supported roles in numerous other MCU movies, but the legendary character is now slated to star in Secret Invasion, a Disney+ series. The programme will be an adaptation of the same-named Marvel Comics plot, in which alien Skulls enter the highest levels of the Marvel universe.
Fury works from space for a large portion of Phases 3 and 4 despite continuing to play a significant role in the MCU, and Spider-Man: Far from Home’s post-credits scene reveals that Fury and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) are actually Talos and Soren in disguise. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, when Tom Holland’s character Peter Parker is hauled in for questioning, the Department of Damage Control discloses that Fury had actually been in space for a full year at that point. But now, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Director is prepared to return to Earth for a perilous new mission with Secret Invasion.
