Miles Morales’ inclusion in the Marvel Cinematic Universe may have been confirmed by the Brazilian Portuguese version of Spider-Man: No Way Home’s concluding sequence. The closing scene of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, in which Peter Parker moves into his lonesome flat, is captured in a clip from the No Way Home conclusion. The scene has what appears to be background conversation from Peter’s new neighbours, in which a man and a woman clearly speak to Miles. Although none of the figures appear on screen, you can hear them frequently and sternly asking Miles to tidy up and go to bed. Some fans assumed from the discussion that the voices are those of Rio Morales and Jefferson Davis, Miles’ parents from the original comics.
Miles was previously mentioned in Spider-Man: Homecoming, where Peter questioned actor Donald Glover’s character Aaron Davis about a business that was peddling illicit alien weaponry recovered from the Battle of New York. Aaron said he wanted to keep the firearms off the streets for the benefit of his nephew, but he didn’t mention Miles by name. Davis apologised to Miles over the phone and informed him that he would be unable to meet with him in a deleted scene from Homecoming.
Marvel Studios has not yet made any announcements on Miles’ potential MCU debut as of the time of writing. The character’s voice actor for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and its sequel, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Shameik Moore, recently acknowledged he was interested in playing Miles in a live-action movie. The actor stated, “I feel like everyone knows I would make a great Miles Morales in [live-action].” After the [Spider-Man: No Way Home] premiere, Jamie Foxx gave me a knowing look as I walked out of the theatre. Tom Holland may also be aware, I believe.
The Spider-Verse actor said he might not be the proper age to play Miles in the MCU, according to Moore, who also suggested that Marvel Studios might still choose a younger actor for the part. It only depends on Miles’ desired age when a live-action movie is ready to be made, he said. The dilemma is whether or not I choose to portray him.
