Kang the Conqueror from Loki Season 2 has new information that has been leaked.
The most recent information comes in the wake of a previous rumour that Jonathan Majors will portray “various Kang versions” in Loki’s second season on Disney+. While Majors’ first appearance as Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will be seen by Marvel viewers in just a few weeks, it’s becoming increasingly obvious that the Phase 5 threequel is only the start of his 2023 Kang visits. The MCU fans now have a better understanding of who one of his Kang Variants may be and why he would be on a time-traveling shopping binge according to this new description.
An second piece of fresh information was revealed by industry insider Daniel Richtman regarding one of Loki Season 2’s Kang versions. Richtman disclosed that a Kang variation is “an innovator in the past” who seeks to “purchase goods from people to impact the future” on his Patreon page:
One variant of Kang in ‘Loki’ Season 2 is an inventor in the past wanting to buy stuff from people to affect the future and Loki is trying to stop him
Richtman was asked on Patreon if Victor Timely, a fictionalised version of Kang, was present in this rendition. In response, Daniel said:
I don’t know [if] it’s him for sure but it is likely him.
If this leaks turns out to be accurate, it is unclear what Kang’s inventor persona is aiming to purchase that will have an impact on the future. Fans are already aware that Loki and Mobius will be travelling to the 1970s thanks to on-set pictures. Not only is Sylvie trapped in the 1970s, working at a McDonald’s, but 1970 was also the year where Iron Man and Captain America journeyed through time to steal Pym Particles in Avengers: Endgame. Maybe there will be a closer connection between Loki’s second season and Ant-Man 3 than fans dared to imagine. If so, Quantumania’s theatrical premiere may have a post-credits sequence that focuses heavily on Loki.
Another concern is how true to the comics Marvel Studios will be with Victor Timely and how he will depart from them. It would seem obvious to keep the name “Timely,” especially as it was a tribute to Timely Comics, the original name of Marvel Comics. Fans may anticipate that Jonathon Majors and the MCU will give the character a new spin. In connection with it, it’s doubtful that Victor Timely/Prime Kang will be the only Kang in Loki Season 2. Again, Richtman’s earlier report suggested that Majors will be portraying “several” Kangs in the Disney+ series, much way Tom Hiddleston had numerous roles in Loki in 2021.
Loki was a literal primer for what Marvel Studios has in store and the start of the Multiverse Saga, looking back on the first season of the Disney+ series. According to these reports, Marvel fans shouldn’t anticipate anything less as the MCU advances into Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, after Quantumania.
