Official casting for Nikki M. James in Daredevil: Born Again

Spread MCU News

Nikki M. James, a Tony Award-winning actress, has recently been cast in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again Disney+ series, according to Deadline. With Charlie Cox reprising his titular role, the new Marvel Extended Universe series carries on the exploits of the Man Without Fear in Hell’s Kitchen, New York. There is still no information available about the character James will play on the show.

Marvel is keeping the specifics under wraps as usual and refusing to comment to Deadline. Trey Parker, the co-creator of South Park, and James are both well-known for their work on the wildly successful Broadway musical The Book of Mormon. The actress took up the “Best Featured Actress in a Show” Tony Award for her performance in the musical as Nabalungi. Additionally, she recently appeared in The Public Theater’s world premiere of Shaina Taub’s Suffs.

James is now starring in Focus Features’ brand-new movie Spoiler Alert, which just had its Christmas release. She is also a part of other TV projects, including as the hugely successful Severance on Apple TV+, Proven Innocent on the FOX network, and Braindead on CBS. James is a director as well. She has episodes of series like The Bite and The Good Fight on her resume (rhyme not intended). She also assisted Michael Arden as an associate director for the Broadway revivals of Jefferson Mays-starring dramas Once On This Island and A Christmas Carol.

Since its initial distributor, Netflix, cancelled it and other Marvel programmes after three seasons, fans have been eagerly awaiting the new Daredevil. Daredevil appeared in the Disney+ series She-Hulk, and Matt Murdock made his debut appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with a cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Since then, it has been revealed that there would be a sequel that will also include Vincent D’Onofrio as The Kingpin in addition to Cox’s return.

Elektra and Karen Page’s comeback have not been confirmed, but Tatiana Maslany teases Charlie Cox about making a cameo as She-Hulk because he is intrigued by the possibilities.
