A new deleted scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home with J.K. Simmons’ J. Jonah Jameson and Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is depicted in new artwork published in Spider-Man: No Way Home – The Art of the Movie. Recently published by Jess Harrold, Spider-Man: No Way Home – The Art of the Movie has “exclusive concept artwork and in-depth interviews with the creative team,” according to the official Amazon book description.

The third Spider-Man movie from Marvel has established itself as the Multiverse’s pinnacle, with a number of well-known characters making triumphant comebacks. Simmons initially played reporter J. Jonah Jameson in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy in the 2000s. He then starred in Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home in the MCU. Jameson seems to be in the middle of one of his Daily Bugle live streams when he is caught by Parker, who bursts into the flat in the cut scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home – The Art of the Movie. The journalist is dressed in a jacket (because the top part of his body is visible to viewers) and boxer shorts (since he is sitting at his desk for the broadcast), suggesting that he is working from home in this specific section, which is crammed with books. In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Simmons’ character does appear in a few significant sequences, but the audience has never seen him in this capacity. Since Marvel has not yet explained the significance of the deleted scene for the storyline or even its original placement in the movie, the decision to eliminate the section from the movie is still a mystery. Although Simmons’ Jameson appeared in this bizarre sequence that was removed from Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans may still expect to see more of the reporter in the future. The actor hinted to his involvement with the MCU in a previous interview with Deadline, adding, “Hey, I think I’m gonna be in more [Marvel films], so… Fingers crossed.” According to rumours, Spider-Man 4 is in development, so if Marvel chooses to do so, Simmons’ character will undoubtedly return.
