Marvel planned to start filming its Wonder Man series later this year. However, we’ve discovered some encouraging data that suggests the opposite.

The series is really preparing to start production this next March, according to the website STV, which records the creation of most television programmes. The DisInsider, however, can also attest to hearing similar information regarding the series.

We regrettably don’t know how long the filming will go or whether any additional cast members have been added to the project. However, we can affirm that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley are the only two celebrities remaining associated at this time.

Marvel is gearing up to begin filming its upcoming Wonder Man series this March. The series, which stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as the titular hero, is set to be released in 2023-2024. The show is being developed by Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton, who is also executive producing the series, and writer Andrew Guest.

The Marvel show will be Abdul-Mateen’s third comic book character portrayal, following his roles in Aquaman and Watchmen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, production could begin as early as 2023.

In the comics, Wonder Man’s secret identity is Simon Williams, a founding member of the Los Angeles-based West Coast Avengers. As an actor and stuntman, Williams’ look included a turtleneck, a red jacket, and sunglasses. Wonder Man is closely tied to Vision and Wanda/Scarlet Witch, making for a possible interesting storyline if Marvel decides to bring him into the MCU.

It remains to be seen if Wonder Man will be introduced as a potential love interest for Wanda, or if he will be used to free her from her self-inflicted incarceration. Whatever Marvel has planned for the character, fans are eager to see what this new series has in store.
