The highly anticipated Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania premiere on February 17 will serve as the official start of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 5 this week. As viewers get ready for Ant-inevitable Man’s confrontation with Kang the Conqueror, the MCU’s deadliest menace to far, the anticipation for the next movie has grown. Jonathan Majors does a fantastic job of portraying the ruthless time-traveler. Fans have been anticipating the return of the supervillain since they saw a peek of the character in Loki, which featured a different iteration of He Who Remains in the season 1 finale. Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania has been positioned as a pivotal moment in the ever-expanding series before of the Phase 5 premiere. Additionally, it is the most significant Marvel movie since Endgame, according to Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios and a longtime MCU producer. Majors recently spoke to Lifehacker Australia on the next Avengers movie, which is scheduled for the Multiverse Saga’s conclusion, while Quantumania prepares to set the tone moving forward. In the exclusive, he stated a wish to appear with Iron Man, the illustrious character that launched the MCU’s Phase 1 in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, played by Robert Downey Jr.

“This is like a Robert Downey Jr. day; he keeps coming to mind,” said the speaker. I mean, I know he’s an original. He’s one of the originals, after all. Simply put, I adore him as an actor. I consider what he accomplished with Iron Man to be such a gift to pop culture in general. I would adore sharing the screen with him to see how our personal philosophies on acting and character fit together.

The introduction of Kang and the universe gives up countless options for the return of Iron Man to the big screen, even though Downey left the Marvel series in the climactic Phase Three film Avengers: Endgame.

“Iron Man is so fascinating to me because I find him to be such a fascinating artist. His portrayal of Iron Man is absolutely fascinating, and he embodies the Avengers’ spirit and worldview to a T. Kang, in my opinion, is a product of a different time. It would be really intriguing to watch those two interact and converse a little.

Looking Forward to His Future in the MCU, Jonathan Majors

As the Multiverse Saga’s newest major antagonist for Marvel, Jonathan Majors had some very huge shoes to fill. The eerie and riveting performance by Majors as He Who Remains is already on display in previously released footage from Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Although Kang the Conqueror is Majors’ first major role as the transtemporal entity, he is already proving to be a strong opponent. Majors discusses how the job has improved his acting craft in an interview with Lifehacker Australia.

“I mean, I play for a franchise. Being in Kang is a very privileged position with a lot of responsibility. And as a result, I have the chance to, selfishly, really stretch and develop my artistic abilities and to share those with audiences and the rest of my team.”

Majors expressed delight for the growth of his Marvel character inside the franchise when questioned about Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

“So Kang Dynasty feels to me that it has the potential to grow the mythology of Kang, to grow the curiosity of Kang that much more, which is extremely exciting,” the author said. “I can’t even think about it because I’m so excited about Quantumania.”
