With the release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the present incarnation of the titular squad in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will come to an end. Bradley Cooper’s Rocket Raccoon’s ongoing saga will also be resolved. The first trailer for the movie, which is scheduled to be released in cinemas in May, prominently featured Rocket and had multiple tense moments that suggested that the adored character would suffer a terrible demise at the film’s conclusion. Despite the fact that many hypotheses contend Rocket Raccoon will pass away during the events of the next Guardians of the Galaxy sequel, his demise isn’t the most depressing way for his story to conclude. The numerous fatalities in Guardians 3 that James Gunn has hinted at have left spectators wondering which Guardians may perish prematurely throughout the course of the movie’s events. Rocket Raccoon seems to be one of the most potential victims, especially since the initial teaser made it clear that the movie will examine his genesis and past. Rocket’s character arc ends regardless of what happens in Guardians 3, which has even been proposed as Rocket’s final appearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The number of fatalities in the movie is a complete unknown because other characters like Drax and Star-Lord have also been the focus of persistent speculations surrounding their demise.
The loss of the Guardians is Rocket’s saddest ending.
Rocket’s narrative is already the most tragic of the Guardians, but it would only get worse if the other Guardians of the Galaxy perished in the imminent battle with the High Evolutionary. Except from Groot, Rocket has never been accepted for who he is by friends or family; instead, he has always been called a weirdo and an outsider. It seemed unthinkable for Rocket to ever have a family after living a lengthy life of crime—that is, until he met the Guardians. Even though he doesn’t like to accept it, Rocket genuinely cares for each of his Guardians comrades since they have given him a sense of belonging. In their future movie, several of the Guardians of the Galaxy appear destined to perish, and any one of their deaths will unquestionably destroy Rocket. The loss of some, if not all, of his squad would be an even worse destiny for the adored character than his own demise because they are the only family he has ever known. Rocket had already experienced the five-year loss of his squad, in addition to the extra losses of Groot, Yondu, and Gamora before the Blip. For Rocket, who had only ever wanted to find love, losing this family once more would be a far worse destiny than passing away.
Guardians of the Galaxy 3: Can Rocket Survive?
The question of whether Rocket Raccoon will survive the events of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has generated a lot of discussion in the months leading up to the movie’s release. Rocket will serve as the movie’s emotional focal point as the plot focuses on his relationship with the High Evolutionary and his genesis. Rocket is the most likely candidate for a third-act death scene given the climactic nature of Guardians 3 and the franchise’s propensity for concluding each film with a significant death. Things look much worse for the popular raccoon as James Gunn has even said that the forthcoming movie will be Rocket’s final outing in the MCU. One might argue that the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 first teaser just serves to deceive viewers into believing that Rocket would die a significant death in the picture. Rocket will die, as the trailer makes very clear, but it seems quite out of character for Marvel Studios to be so forthright about it in a movie’s marketing materials. It’s possible that Marvel is using Rocket’s death as a prop in the teasers just to hide another death in the actual movie. Whatever happens, the titular group is unlikely to survive the events in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and Rocket could be one of the victims.Follow us to get free & fast MCU Movies/Shows Leaks & News
