Ryan Reynolds, star of Deadpool & Wolverine, praised Dogpool and called the dog “a natural beauty,” despite fan theories that the pup may be computer-generated. The adorable Peggy will make an appearance in the next MCU movie as Dogpool. Reynolds calmed fan concerns about CGI by praising Deadpool & Wolverine’s Dogpool on his official X account. “Ah! And many want to know if Dogpool, Peggy, and Mary Puppins are computer generated images. No, is the response. Beyond a basic overnight exfoliating regimen followed by an upscale Swedish nourishing mask, she is a natural beauty and has had zero cosmetic operations,” the actor added. “Yes, I know I should have known better than to feed her after midnight, but this little Mogwai has always added a touch of glitz, style, and—dare I say it—a fuckless attitude that provides quiet luxury in the middle of a noisy world. It’s important to note that she serves as a solid illustration of how perspective may be flexible and change throughout time.”

“You could look at her and see something hard to love or difficult to look at,” the Deadpool star went on. However, it was also this quality that set her apart. It is the source of her power and sense of direction. I hope she moves to Bel Air and becomes the biggest fucking star on the planet. I hope she watches Isle of Dogs, Benji, Turner & Hooch, and Air Bud while lounging by her posh pool, with her gigantic, enlarged nipples and 61-inch tongue. But, she will never, ever watch Marley & Me. That film is free to go for a millennium. Even though I watched it when I was 39, it nevertheless destroyed my youth.” Reynolds campaigned to cast Peggy, the winner of “Britain’s Ugliest Dog,” in Deadpool & Wolverine because the dog was supposed to seem like an animal counterpart of Wade Wilson. It’s the epiphany of love. Dogpool is dear to Deadpool. He continued, “Her real name is Peggy, and she took home the title of Britain’s Ugliest Dog.” Reynolds went on, “She feels like the animal embodiment of Wade Wilson, which is why I was such a big fan of hers.” It started off as a minor afterthought and developed, much like many things do when writing. Dogpool became a mainstay—it was one of those situations where you simply keep listening to the film.”
