Pictures from the Deadpool 3 set revealed Ryan Reynolds’ most recent appearance. Reynolds was seen in costume from the set of Deadpool 3 in photos posted by @DiscussingFilm on Twitter. The actor was seen wearing and taking off his recognisable mask. The disguised figure also features a utility belt, the buckle of which Deadpool’s own resemblance was noted online by admirers.

Deadpool 3 will not only be the next installment in the Deadpool film series but also the first legitimate entry into the X-Men’s portion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel Studios’ first R-rated feature film endeavour, according to studio president and CCO Kevin Feige. Feige said, “It’s amazing,” in February. “And Hugh Jackman will be returning for the MCU’s first Deadpool movie. Our first R-rated movie is that one. The fact that Hugh returned is amazing. Like the first two films in the series, Deadpool 3 will star Reynolds alongside a cast that also features returning actors Karan Soni as fan favourite Dopinder, Leslie Uggams as Deadpool’s longtime friend Blind Al, Stefan Kapicic as legendary X-Men character Colossus, Rob Delaney as the otherwise unremarkable Peter, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, and Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio. Morena Baccarin would reprise her role as Vanessa, Deadpool’s main love interest, in April, according to a confirmation.

Zazie Beetz, who played the renowned X-Force member Domino in Deadpool 2, is one among the actors that won’t be appearing in the movie. Beetz addressed her absence by saying that despite not being a part of the movie, she was still “excited to watch” it. She said that she “didn’t know what” the cast and crew were doing in regards to the subject of improvisation on site. This appeared to be in reaction to a May story that said Reynolds wouldn’t be permitted to improvise while shooting on location due to Writers Guild of America (WGA) guidelines regarding the ongoing writers strike. Reynolds won’t be improvising on site, according to Rob Liefeld, the co-creator of Deadpool, but he will be free to contribute ad-libbed lines to the movie once it has been finished. “You know that he’s wearing a mask and that he can ad-lib like crazy in post-production,” Liefeld remarked. “The really fun bits happen in ADR,”
