Throughout the Marvel Universe, Elizabeth Olsen portrayed Wanda Maximoff, popularly known as the Scarlet Witch, and it looks like she’s eager to take on the role again. The WandaVision actress talked candidly about her role as the Marvel character and what it would take to play her again in a recent interview. In an interview, Olsen stated, “I think I was lucky to be used well when I started. It’s a character that I love going back to when there’s a way to use her well.” “I think for a little moment there, people were unsure of what to do with me. I’m always eager to return if there’s a decent way to use her.

Olsen made her film debut in 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier as Wanda Maximoff. She would then reprise her role as Wanda in the supporting role as a minor character in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). Olsen returned to the character as it developed further in the films Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019). In 2021, Wanda received a Disney+ spinoff called WandaVision, which continued the story of Endgame, after the films. Inspired by TV sitcoms, the series created a beautiful universe in which Wanda’s pain was explored. Olsen reprised her role as Wanda in the 2022 film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, marking the end of Wanda’s story arc. The Scarlet Witch emerges as the primary antagonist in the movie.

After almost ten years of playing the Marvel character Wanda, Olsen declared she was ready to move on to new roles. “I’m attempting to determine… Olsen stated to the Times of London in 2023, “Because, specifically in the last four years, my output has been Marvel.” “It’s not that I don’t want to be identified with this character alone; I just don’t want that.” However, I feel that in order to achieve equilibrium, I must be rebuilding other components. Right now, I want to make movies so bad. And I hope that some of them work out the way I think they should. Yes, it is something I require. All I need in my life are more characters. One character cannot be sustained for very long.
