Secret Invasion: The Skrull’s origin

Spread MCU News

One of the most eagerly awaited adaptations in Marvel’s future catalogue is Secret Invasion. The Skrulls story was a captivating collaboration in which several well-known characters received fresh spotlights. The sympathetic Skrulls will be shown in a different way in the MCU adaptation of the story. Fans might be interested in learning more about the Skrulls’ home planet before witnessing them attempt to conquer it.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe introduced its deep space library gradually. Aliens were few in the early efforts, but Star Trek episodes are commonly a theme in more recent renditions. Guardians of the Galaxy was the effort that cracked open the door, but the brand is still expanding.

Skrulls originate on the planet Skrullos. Skrullos has never been shown in the MCU, although the comics do offer readers a couple decent glimpses at it. It’s a planet with rocky mountains and a deep crimson sky. Its building has elements of both Roman and eldritch terror. Skrulls inhabited fortified cities and oddly shaped buildings that resembled living things. There is just one unofficial Skrullos representation in the MCU. It’s a piece of concept art for a video game-Avengers tie-in that was never released. This planet’s surface appears to be considerably more ornately adorned. The sky is dotted with towering sculptures, flying towns, and blazing green spires. Skrullos hasn’t been on the screen much, but there’s a reason behind it.

Skrullos was obliterated in the MCU timeline after a conflict with the Kree. In the comics, the conflict compelled the Skrulls to flee their home and establish a new capital on the planet Tarnax IV. The same as their MCU counterparts, their second “throneworld” was destroyed by Galactus, putting them in an identical situation. The Kree were blue-skinned fascist invaders who wanted to add the Skrulls to their horde in both continuity’s. Compared to their source material, Skrulls in the MCU are significantly more submissive. The struggle between the Skrulls and the Kree was portrayed in the comics as a war between two rulers vying for dominance over a vast empire. The Kree are the species that gave the cosmos Ronan the Accuser, as MCU fans will recall. They engaged the Skrulls in violent combat in typical Skrull fashion. Skrullos was destroyed by the Kree, who also wiped out the great bulk of the race. Along with massacring their people, the Kree empire’s dominance allowed them to portray the Skrulls as evil. Given the Skrulls’ survival strategy, this propaganda campaign was rather simple to win.

The Skrulls fled to many other worlds when Skrullos was destroyed. Skrulls have the ability to naturally alter their physical appearance to flawlessly mirror any other creature’s DNA. Skrulls operated covertly throughout the cosmos, striking agreements with kind locals. On a Kree ship in Earth’s orbit, a Skrull group concealed themselves. The Skrulls were protected by Kree scientist Mar-Vell, also known as Wendy Lawson on Earth, until her sad demise. The Skrulls stayed on her ship for many years after she passed away. The Kree spent their time describing the Skrulls as cunning snoopers and enticing the inhabitants of numerous worlds to go looking for them. After Carol Danvers assumed the role of Captain Marvel, she began looking for Skrulls around the cosmos and helping them find a new home. On this endeavour, Nick Fury collaborated with the Skrulls and even recruited a few of them to fill in for him while he was away. Although the Skrulls have waited for their new home for a very long time, the construction appears to still be in progress. More so than others, certain Skrulls lack patience.

The dissident Skrulls from Secret Invasion have given up on their friendly connection with Earth. Some humans have provided assistance, while others’ failure to adequately rehouse the refugees leaves some Skrulls feeling resentful. As a result, Gravik’s side has placed Skrulls in influential positions all around the planet. The ethically wrong course of action is to infiltrate Earth and steal resources through deception, although some Skrulls have legitimately given up on friendliness. Nick Fury is partially to fault for not following through on his commitments. Secret Invasion tells the tale of a group of immigrants who have been wrongfully persecuted and who ultimately go out to grab what they need, unlike the Skrulls of the books.

The Skrulls are from a world that was destroyed. They are victims of a circumstance that they did not deserve, like many MCU villains. Will the Skrulls follow in the footsteps of the Flag Smashers or will their next debut as villains show greater complexity? For a variety of reasons, the Skrulls can be among the most interesting extraterrestrial races in the Marvel universe. The survivors of this species will adopt a new strategy when Skrullos is destroyed. On June 21, Secret Invasion will make its Disney Plus debut.
