Shawn Levy explains why it was easy to land Deadpool 3 cameos

Shawn Levy, the director of Deadpool 3, is taken aback by how “easy” it was to persuade some of the stars they’ve approached for cameo roles. Numerous casting rumours, ranging from Daniel Radcliffe and Taylor Swift’s well-liked fan castings to the possible reunion of former X-Men performers, have dogged Deadpool 3 since its announcement. In an interview with Josh Horowitz, Levy seems to confirm that fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe should anticipate seeing several cameos in Deadpool 3, which were made possible by Ryan Reynolds and the popularity of the anti-hero. Levy remarked, “It’s amazing how effortless some of those cameos have been.” “Deadpool is quite popular. Individuals adore Ryan Reynolds. Luckily, my work seems to be liked by others as well. They are aware that Ryan and I are now experiencing a special and productive creative brotherhood.” The director acknowledged that some of the casting rumours regarding Deadpool 3 are accurate while remaining mum on the identity of the cameos.

Levy stated that they had already completed half of the filming before the SAG-AFTRA strike. Deadpool 3’s release date has reportedly been postponed while the actors’ strike continues. That came after Levy alerted everyone about the possibility of a delay for the movie. “Even if we have an official release date, I’m not sure. According to TheWrap, Levy stated, “I knew we were going to be May 3.” “That release date is definitely in jeopardy because of the prolonged production stoppage and the actors’ strike. The film is half done. I have edited 50% of the film. We can’t wait to start working again and release this film the following year.” Based on a script he co-wrote with Reynolds, Rhett Rheese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells, Levy is directing Deadpool 3. Hugh Jackman, who is officially coming out of superhero retirement to reprise his iconic role as Logan/Wolverine, is leading the third installment. The filmmaker and Reynolds previously worked together on 20th Century Studios’ Free Guy and Netflix’s The Adam Project. Fans recently got to see Jackman don Wolverine’s iconic yellow-and-blue comic book outfit after nearly two decades of portraying the beloved character in Fox’s X-Men series. Returning cast members of Deadpool, including Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, and Karan Soni as Dopinder, will also be seen in the eagerly anticipated trilogy. Award-winning performers Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen, as well as Marvel veteran Jennifer Garner as Elektra, are among the other confirmed cast members. Deadpool 3’s narrative has remained mysterious despite several casting rumours, with the exception of conjectures concerning Deadpool’s use of time travel. How the movie will fit into the main MCU continuity is still a question.
