Wolverine’s new side will be revealed by Hugh Jackman soon.

In the upcoming third Deadpool film with Ryan Reynolds, the actor will make his tenth appearance as the X-Men character. On a recent edition of Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?, Jackman, 54, discussed his career and the reasons why this Wolverine story—which takes place before the events of the 2017 movie Logan—will be unique.

“There is a dynamic that I’ve never really had to execute as Wolverine before when I keep seeing Ryan and I as the traditional comic book adversaries Deadpool and Wolverine. This is going to be great, I just thought. I’m doing something I’ve never done before. I am very excited.”

Before the Deadpool 3 screenplay arrived, the Son actor said he “honestly” believed he was “done” playing Wolverine. “With it, I felt at ease. Every day I would get the question “Can we do it again?” in interviews or from Ryan Reynolds, and I would respond, “No, I’m done.””

Jackman will reprise his role as Logan/Wolverine in the third Deadpool movie, Jackman and Reynolds, both 46, revealed in September. Then, in October, Jackman told PEOPLE that the next 2024 Deadpool movie is “going to be a fun.”
