The Hawkeye spinoff director Sydney Freeland calls her experience working on Echo overwhelmingly positive. Yes, Freeland said in an interview, “I have to say that my experience was overwhelmingly positive. “With my producing partners and executive team behind me, I can honestly say that this was the hardest thing I have ever done. Freeland also discussed how the series gave her a sense of empowerment. There is obviously truth to the rumours about how chaotic and wild it can get. All I can say, though, is that they do all in their power to safeguard their creatives. And for a job of size and complexity, I felt completely empowered and protected, which is uncommon. I’ve worked on a number of TV series, and on some of them, they’ve told me that every word must be that. Each word needs to be precise. Therefore, no, a tremendous degree of creative empowerment.” Freeland has already talked about how the tone, gritty style, and battle sequences of Echo and Daredevil are comparable.”I dunno if I can say this, but I love the Netflix Daredevil, it’s great,” stated the producer. As a result, we definitely appropriated the Daredevil battle; it was a small homage to that television show. However, we also firmly desired to demonstrate that they are actual characters in our programme. There are actual repercussions, they bleed, die, and are killed. Speaking of which, if you get too broad, you tend to lose sight of the details, so it’s not the fate of the world at risk. Consequently, that somewhat set the tone.”

As it was previously announced that Charlie Cox will return to the character of The Man Without Fear in the series prior to his solo project, Daredevil: Born Again, it is not surprise that the Echo video has a scene of Daredevil engaged in fight. Vincent D’Onofrio, who played Wilson “Kingpin” Fisk in Hawkeye, makes a surprise reappearance in this clip. Leading the ensemble in Echo is Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez, who is now running from Kingpin. Her actual character is still unclear, though, which raises the possibility that she is still involved in illegal activity. It’s interesting to note that Echo is the first MCU programme to receive a TV-MA classification since it has many sequences in which Wilson Fisk/Kingpin commits acts of extreme violence and bloodshed. Freeland explains the more graphic violence by pointing to the show’s protagonist’s complicated moral compass—which isn’t always positive.
