The Daredevil: Born Again character played by Michael Gandolfini has been revealed.

The identity of the character portrayed by Michael Gandolfini and other fresh revelations for the show may be found in a copyright filing for Daredevil: Born Again. Gandolfini (The Offer, Beau Is Afraid) joined the Daredevil: Born Again cast in a prior announcement, but his part was not made clear. Similar to how he portrayed a younger version of his late father’s Sopranos character in The Many Saints of Newark, there were rumours that he would be portraying a younger version of Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk in flashback scenes, but nothing was ever verified. The copyright listing for the pilot episode at the U.S. Copyright Office has now made it known that Gandolfini is portraying “Daniel Blade.” Daniel Blade is an intriguing figure that has never appeared in a Marvel Comic, suggesting that he is a brand-new creation for the programme. Given his physical resemblance to D’Onofrio, some fans would surmise that he’s still portraying a young Wilson and that the name Daniel Blade might be an alias. Even though Gandolfini has been identified, there are still some uncertainties over how the character would be portrayed in Daredevil: Born Again.

Gandolfini previously told Collider about his casting, “I guess all I can tell about my role is that my character is from Staten Island, and that’s about it. “I mean, it’s incredible,” the actor said in response to joining the MCU. Everyone is so kind and skilled, and it’s so thrilling and intimidating. While I was travelling, I received my first text from the producer, which said, “Welcome to the MCU!” When you see it, it kind of strikes you, you know? I started to cry and I just felt like, “Oh my God!” I’m fortunate and appreciative. The listing also confirms that Matt Murdock, Wilson Fisk, and Frank Castle will all be played by Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Jon Bernthal again in their respective parts from the first season. Margarita Levieva as Heather Glenn, Sandrine Holt as Vanessa Fisk, Nikki M. James as Kirsten McDuffie, Genneya Walton as BB Urich, Clark Johnson as Cherry, Arty Froushan as Buck Cashman, and Zabryna Guevara as Sheila Rivera are among the additional cast members that have been officially announced.
