Kathryn Newton has made a comparison between her most recent appearance in the upcoming horror thriller Abigail and her portrayal as Cassie Lang in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The actor claims that there are some significant distinctions between the genres. Newton said in an interview that working on Quantumania was a lot simpler. “Physically speaking, Abigail was actually harder than Ant-Man,” she said. My work as Ant-Man was the simplest I’ve ever had. It was a lot of fun. Though it was different, Abigail was as enjoyable. We used actual props, real people, and a genuine set. I didn’t have to invent anything; whatever inspiration you draw from is what’s happening in front of you. The green screen was absent. And I wasn’t ready for that kind of liberation.”

Considering Cassie Lang was referenced at the conclusion of The Marvels, Newton has already stated that she would love to play the character again. She clarified, “You hope for that in the Marvel universe.” “I feel like I grew up with the character Iron Man because I grew up watching it. Being a part of a generation growing up with a film would be awesome, so if I have the chance to continue the tale.” Newton did point out that performers are unsure of when they would be called upon by Marvel again. It plays a huge role in my life. However, they don’t actually inform you,” she went on. “They give you an overview, but I don’t assume anything. All I’m trying to do is get by each day. Let’s see one movie through to the end before moving on. However, I would also welcome the chance to collaborate with Marvel Studios once more.”

Newton adds she would love to see Cassie receive a recruiting call a la Nick Fury because other recent MCU recruits like Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop and Vellani’s Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel have fueled rumors of a Young Avengers team-up. To be honest, being a superhero for Marvel was one of my career’s main objectives. She remarked, “I would do it forever if I could,” before revealing who her ideal MCU co-star would be. “My instinct is Hailee Steinfeld.” Although they haven’t officially announced a youthful Avengers project, Marvel Studios has been progressively adding youthful heroes in Phases 4 and 5 of the MCU. Characters include America Chavez from Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Riri Williams from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Eli Bradley from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Billy and Tommy Maximoff from WandaVision, and Kid Loki from Loki are among those featured here.
