Fans have been hoping for the return of Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, but unfortunately, in a recent interview with the Goop Show, she revealed that it’s not happening. She stated that her time as Black Widow is over and that she’s done with the character. Furthermore, Johansson recently signed an overall deal with Disney to work as a producer on Marvel content. This suggests that there are still plans for her involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even if nothing materializes immediately, Disney will likely have to pay her out for the deal. So, it’s unlikely that they would just do away with her.
Ultimately, it’s up to Marvel to decide whether or not they want to bring back Johansson as Black Widow. It would be in their best interest to have her return, considering her goodwill and her long history with the company. They wouldn’t want her time with Marvel to be overshadowed by the public dispute she had with Jpac and Disney. So, while it may seem like she’s done for now, there’s always a possibility for her to come back in the future.
