The Marvels teaser reveals the villain’s strategy

The villain of the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film The Marvels, Dar-Benn, reveals his strategy in a brand-new trailer for The Marvels. The first scene of the trailer shows Nick Fury being erased from existence in Avengers: Infinity War, along with Fury’s voiceover proclaiming, “I still believe in heroes.” Dar-Benn later makes an appearance, referring to Carol Danvers as “The Annihilator” and informing her, “You took everything from me,” after sequences from both Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame had finished playing. I’m now paying it forward. Carol then remarks that Dar-Benn is “targeting the people she cares about” and “every place Carol calls home.” The first scene of the trailer shows Nick Fury being erased from existence in Avengers: Infinity War, along with Fury’s voiceover proclaiming, “I still believe in heroes.” Dar-Benn later makes an appearance, referring to Carol Danvers as “The Annihilator” and informing her, “You took everything from me,” after sequences from both Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame had finished playing. Director Nia DaCosta spoke on Carol, Monica, and Kamala’s sisterly relationship and said that she “thought it would be cool to map an estranged family history and sister story onto them.” Carol is the oldest and the prodigal sister, followed by Monica, the middle sister, whom Carol had known as a young child and had pledged to reconnect with but had never done. The resolution between these two is what interests me more than all the switching things. “Kamala is the youngest, who hasn’t had the experience of living with this older sister but idolises her,” DaCosta said. “Carol’s a bit jaded at the beginning of the film but Kamala reminds her how amazing she is.” Kevin Feige, president and chief operating officer of Marvel Studios, has already “revealed” that Ms. Marvel will steal the show. In addition, DaCosta discussed how The Marvels combats the phenomenon, saying, “I think superhero fatigue clearly occurs. The Marvels is really weird and funny, which is how it differs most from the other MCU films to this point. The planets we visit in this film are very different from those you’ve already seen in the MCU. You’ve never seen such bright planets before.
