The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s newest Funko Pop! featuring Tom Hiddleston’s Loki confirms the character’s new title for the fan-favorite. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are still in shock over unexpected developments that transpire in the sixth episode of Season 2, “Glorious Purpose,” and are speculating about what this could signify for the franchise’s future over a week after the release of the Loki Season 2 finale. At the conclusion of the most recent episode of the popular Disney+ series, Hiddleston’s character Loki completely changed from a self-centered monster to a brave hero who will stop at nothing to preserve his adopted family. Marvel debuted a brand-new Funko Pop! Loki figurine on X to honour this momentous occasion, which features the Asgardian prince atop his new throne at the End of Time.

Additionally, the Funko Pop! disclosed that the beloved figure now officially goes by the name “God Loki,” signifying his upcoming role in the MCU. This new title appears to be a nod to the comic book plotline “God of Stories” featuring Loki. It’s unclear right now if Hiddleston’s character will play a significant role in the intergalactic conflict that Marvel Studios has been hinting at for a long. Executive producer Kevin Wright stated that although Season 2 was intended to conclude “two chapters of the same book,” a prospective Loki Season 3 would have fresh tales for the characters. In a recent reflection on his 14 years in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Hiddleston disclosed that the Season 2 finale concluded Loki’s main plot. The Golden Globe winner declared, “It’s the conclusion to Season 2, and it’s also a conclusion to Seasons 1 and 2.” In addition, it’s the wrap-up of six films, twelve episodes, and fourteen years of my life—I was 29 years old when I was cast. I’m 42 years old now. It has been an adventure. But Hiddleston stressed that given that his character has already risen from the dead at least twice, it would be “unwise at this point to be conclusive” on Loki’s fate.
