WandaVision spinoff cancellation rumours are sparked by the latest update to Vision Quest.

The forthcoming Vision Quest limited series from Disney+ and Marvel Studios may not have a positive future owing to an odd update involving showrunner Jac Schaeffer. As shown on X, Vision Quest is no longer listed in Schaeffer’s WGA Directory credits, only citing Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, which like the earlier programme is a spinoff from WandaVision. Although it should be noted that neither Disney nor Marvel have confirmed if Vision Quest has been cancelled as of yet, the article claims that other authors have also deleted the project from their credits. Though another option is that additional writers will be assigned to the project when the WGA strike is over, fans are speculating about the potential cancellation.

Similar to this, nothing is presently known about the storyline of Vision Quest; the only thing that is known is that it “will be about The Vision (Paul Bettany) trying to regain his memory and humanity.” Also mentioned is the “possibility” of seeing Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch in the series. Regarding Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, the show’s actor Joe Locke recently suggested that it might have relatable themes, albeit he did not specify what they would be. “Agatha: The Darkhold Diaries will be a beast of its own, and I’m thrilled, anxious, and afraid about it! In a different sense than Heartstopper, I believe Agatha to be a really essential show, said Locke. There are themes in it that I sincerely hope people may relate to.

Also mentioning Darkhold Diaries as “the second season of Wandavision for Marvel,” returning Mrs. Hart actor Debra Jo Rupp said, “It’s very much like American Horror Story, where each season is a totally different type of a thing. I was taken aback when they phoned because I honestly believed that would be the end of it, and I was okay with that. However, I was very happy when they phoned since Mrs. Hart is a part I never get to play. She’s going to be a lot of fun. Regarding Scarlet Witch appearing in Darkhold Diaries as well, Elizabeth Olsen said she doesn’t believe she will. We can do anything with Scarlet Witch now! Olsen interestingly added that she hoped Scarlet Witch’s reappearance will be funnier in a subsequent statement. I think we’ve accomplished a lot. I think there’s a lot more humour to be obtained with her now, so we can really have some fun. I’m interested to see what we may explore as she frequently represents the feeling in a tale. And perhaps we can help her get back on track.
