Director of X-Men: First Class Matthew Vaughn discussed his initial thoughts upon learning about the concept for Deadpool 3. Although Vaughn did not participate directly in the Deadpool 3 creative process, it appears that the British director has some idea of the plot of the eagerly awaited superhero flick. Regarding Deadpool 3 possibly ruining X-Men: First Class, actor Vince Vaughn said in an interview that he’s simply excited for everyone to see what Marvel Studios has in store for its first R-rated Marvel Cinematic Universe film. He teasingly said, “I know a little bit about it.” However, I’m not permitted to discuss it. Still, I can only share with you what I know about it. I laughed so hard I had to get a ticket for the opening weekend because it made me so happy.”

Nevertheless, the director of Argylle acknowledged that, at first, he was a little afraid about Deadpool 3, as the film starring Ryan Reynolds shares certain elements with his upcoming Kick-Ass revival. And at the time, I was a little afraid because I thought, “Oh my god, maybe this is what we’re doing with Kick-Ass,” Vaughn remarked. He is nevertheless optimistic that both films will “survive.” In an earlier interview, Vaughn said that Deadpool 3 will be the film that brings the MCU back to life, calling the highly anticipated pairing of Reynolds’ Deadpool and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine “unbelievable.” “That will be the shock… the Marvel universe is going to experience one of those, and it will revive that corpse. He declared, “I believe Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are going to save the entire Marvel universe.”

Deadpool 3 is being directed by Stranger Things executive producer Shawn Levy, who co-wrote the script with Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Rheese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells. Production on the impending threequel has finally ended, following filming delays brought on by last year’s Hollywood strikes. Levy shared behind-the-scenes photographs of Reynolds and Jackman. Along with series newbies Matthew Macfadyen and Emma Corrin, the ensemble cast will also feature Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Stefan Kapičić as Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, and Karan Soni as Dopinder. Deadpool 3’s official storyline information are still being withheld ahead of its July 26, 2024, theatrical launch. According to a recent source, there is a possibility that Wolverine and Deadpool would be shown interfering with “the history of the MCU.” It is anticipated that the third installment would showcase several forms of the anti-hero, such as Dogpool and a longer-haired Deadpool.
